Representing a Latin American renewable energy developer in a high stakes cross-border dispute with a global energy and technology company arising from the development, commercialization and supply of large-scale battery energy storage systems for a multimillion-dollar portfolio of projects throughout Mexico and Central America.

Represented an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor against the owner in a $4 billion-plus International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration arising out of the construction of a mega-infrastructure project in Colombia.

Represented a Fortune 50 company in a $9 billion-plus dispute pending in South America. Mr. Segura was a member of the team that oversaw all local litigation matters at the trial, appellate and constitutional court levels, and he advised the client in parallel proceedings, including foreign recognition and enforcement actions and a multitrack investor-state arbitration before the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in The Hague, Netherlands.

Serving as outside general counsel to a middle-market operating company in the commercial construction industry, advising management on commercial agreements, customer and vendor disputes, credit and collections matters, employment issues, corporate governance, risk management and other day-to-day legal and strategic matters.

Represented an independent sponsor in the acquisition of a leading regional HVAC manufacturers' representative and distribution platform serving commercial and industrial construction markets across Texas, including advising on transaction structure, diligence, negotiation and closing.

Representing a closely held oil and gas investment company in a multimillion-dollar dispute with a defaulting member involving an unpaid capital call, contractual foreclosure and redemption rights, the disposition of membership interests, and related deficiency claims.

Represented multiple owners, developers, general contractors, distributors, manufacturers and other construction-industry participants in a variety of disputes involving breaches of contract, fraud and fraudulent inducement, payment and collection claims, mechanic's and materialman's liens, defective performance, project delays, and other commercial and construction-related matters.

Represented a real estate investment and operating company in multiple disputes with general contractors and subcontractors in state court breach of contract and fraud actions, mechanic's and materialman's lien disputes and regulatory actions before the Texas Public Utility Commission (PUC) and the Austin Buildings and Standards Commission.

Represented a provider of measurement-while-drilling services and products in a breach of contract case against a directional drilling company.

Represented a solar development company against a former member and manager in a multimillion-dollar shareholder derivative lawsuit.

Represented an auto dealership group in multiple state court actions and American Arbitration Association (AAA) arbitrations involving deceptive trade practice disputes, breach of contract actions, and labor disputes.

Represented a medical professional in a proceeding before the Texas Medical Board leading to a full dismissal of all charges.

Represented a major equipment manufacturer in a federal product liability case and counseled client through negotiation and successful settlement.
